Leaving Chester Driving Test Centre

The test centre is located in a fairly busy car park. You will be moving off possibly with 3 or 4 other learners also on test. You will therefore need to proceed with caution.
Don’t be the unfortunate learner, with a serious fault within 30 seconds of starting your driving test by failing to look to the right at the end of the first isle of the car park.
The view to the right is partly obscured by some bushes. It is therefore important to slow the car down almost to a standstill for a clear view.
Also, when you return back to the car park after your driving test, slow down and look carefully for anyone exiting from the test centre and don’t cut the corner.
The examiner will ask you to drive forward into a bay. This does not count as a manoeuvre for the driving test so you don’t have to stop inside the lines of the bay.
Two Chimneys Right Turn
A bit of quick thinking required here and so it is useful knowing what’s coming up. The Sat Nav isn’t much help, it will say turn right 400 yards, before the first set of traffic lights.
The first set of lights is left turn only. After passing through the first set of lights, check mirrors and cross over to the right for the second set of lights, to turn right.

Backford A41 Right Turn
If following a Sat Nav, it will say after 800 yards turn right. It is advisable to make an early lane change and keep the right signal, for the benefit of cars behind when you start to slow.
Try to avoid slowing too much on approach whilst still in the right lane. You can brake harder when in the filter lane.
